The main attraction of the Baa Atoll route is the Hanifaru bay, whose name is given by the desert island contiguous to it that in July 2009 was proclaimed marine reserve. Since then this bay of sand, at first glance rude and without great attractions, has become a call for divers because under certain conditions of wind and current during the south-west monsoon, this funnel-shaped bay is transformed in a large plankton reserve.

Ideal for lovers of manta rays
This natural phenomenon certainly does not go unnoticed by all the beings that feed on plankton: dozens of manta rays and various whale sharks alternate in the bay and join in a majestic banquet. A sublime act of nature that has also come together at once more than a hundred manta rays and whale sharks. In the Baa Atoll itinerary, you can submerge yourself in the wonderful "Thila" near the bay.

This itinerary includes night diving with manta rays.
