course 2: Intermediate

Objective: To improve sailing knowledge and techniques. Notes on safety.

Who it is for: Adults of all ages who have attended the basic course.

Boat: cabin cruiser

Location: Caorle, Veneto, Italy

Duration: a weekend

Cost: € 248.00 including membership fee and insurance

Topics: sails adjustment, apparent wind, knocked down, buoyancy, man overboard recovery, mooring, anchoring, reefs, safety on board, meteorology.

How: theory, analysis of the weather situation, objectives and exercises of the day, going out to sea.

Each student has the opportunity to cover all the roles on board: from the helm to the bow.
During the navigation exercises aimed at consolidating the objectives of the course will be carried out.

The day ends with a final de-briefing.

Packed lunch.
Overnight on board is available at the price of Euro 20.00 per night: a sheet and a towel are provided.
Sleeping bags are recommended.

Clothing: sneakers with white (or in any case clear) soles, comfortable and suitable clothing for the season, full wax (if possible) or windproof jacket, sunglasses. Each student is allowed to bring only a soft bag of limited size and weight on board.
